For responsible and age-appropriate use of smartphones and apps by children and teenagers.
Our association connects parents across Switzerland who want to give their children a longer childhood by delaying the use of personal devices. Because smartphone ownership is a collective problem, we address it with collective action: In our voluntary Parent Pact, we agree to wait until at least age 14 for a child's first smartphone and at least age 16 for personal social media accounts. Not against technology, but for childhood.

Saying NO to a child's first smartphone saves you much more stress in the long run than saying YES does in the short term!

A smartphone is not conducive to a developing brain.

Children don't learn about the world through a screen, but by using all of their senses.

Almost all children in grades 3 to 6 who own a smartphone have seen something online so disturbing that it kept them awake at night.

...and yet smartphones have changed childhood
Instead of growing up slowly, children are being pulled into a digital world designed to get them addicted. The impact on their development, mental health, and relationships is profound.

Later rather than sooner
But how exactly? With the following core principles:
Taking action together
What kind of childhood do we want for our children? We help you start a conversation with other parents to find solutions that work for you. The parental pact connects like-minded people within your child's school. We are stronger together.
