By signing the voluntary Parent Pact, you are taking an important step toward a smartphone-free environment for your child. You are sending a clear message that you are part of a growing community of families who consciously choose to protect their children by committing to:

to wait until their child is at least 14 years old before they receive their own smartphone

and/or

to wait until their child is at least 16 years old before allowing them to create their own social media accounts.

Signing the voluntary Pact takes less than a minute. The more parents who join, the stronger the nationwide signal for our children's well-being becomes. The Pact is not a statement against technology, but against the early use of personal devices by children and teenagers.

How does it work? The Parent Pact uses schools as its basis. Every Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning we send an email to parents at schools where new members joined the local school network during the previous week. That way everyone stays up to date without having to ask. This creates growing, local, cross-age communities for a smartphone-free environment for children, as well as smartphone-free schools.

Together, we can stand up to the peer pressure facing our children and us parents!

Notes:
1. The Pact must be signed individually for each child.
2. We handle exceptions (moving, repeating a grade, etc.) manually. In such cases, please email
alexandra@smartphonefreiekindheit.ch
3. Data privacy: We only collect the data that is strictly necessary. This is used exclusively for the Parent Pact and (if you wish) the newsletter. Data is only shared for the purpose of networking.
